Garry Mooney, Managing Director of ICIB Limited has been providing insurance solutions to the Wine Industry since the late 1980's. A fire in 1990 highlighted the insufficiencies of the traditional method of insurance for the wine industry. We undertook a full study of the wine industry, and designed a far more beneficial and fast claim payment method of insuring wine stock. This resulted in our first Gold Medal Vintage policy released in the early 1990's.
The Gold Medal Vintage Insurance facility has been enhanced and developed over the years and now provides insurance products to over 100 wine companies.
